Privacy Policy

Pouch Pace ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who visits pouchpace.com or creates an account with us.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, and a small amount of information generated by using the site:

• Account details — name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
• Shipping addresses — street, city, state, postcode, country, and phone number, saved to your account for faster checkout.
• Order history — items purchased, order totals, and status.
• Payment information — your card details are entered directly into Square's secure payment form and processed by Square. We never see or store your full card number.
• Basic technical data — a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser (via local storage) so your cart persists between visits if you're shopping as a guest.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Process and fulfil your orders, including shipping and returns.
• Send transactional emails — order confirmations, shipping updates, and password reset links.
• Provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
• Maintain the security of our store and prevent fraud.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information with the service providers that help us run the store, and only to the extent needed for them to do their job:

• Square — processes payments on our behalf. Square's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment details.
• Microsoft (Azure / Microsoft Graph) — sends transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, password resets) on our behalf.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pouch Pace, our customers, or others.

Cookies & local storage

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, and a local storage entry to remember your cart if you're browsing as a guest. These are necessary for the site to function and aren't used to track you across other websites. We don't currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies — if that changes, we'll update this policy.

Data security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage, all traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS), and access to customer data is limited to what's needed to operate the store. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard steps to protect your information.

How long we keep your information

We retain account and order information for as long as your account is active, and for as long afterwards as needed to meet our tax, accounting, and legal record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your account at any time — see "Your rights" below.

Your rights

You can view and update most of your details directly from your account page. You're also entitled to ask us to:

• Provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct any information that's inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete your account and associated personal information, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations (for example, we may need to retain order records for tax purposes).

Children's privacy

Pouch Pace is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, as our tools or processes change. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
